FAQ's
I am an educator, support worker, support person, teacher or therapist, will the Ready for Yoga program be a valuable resource for me to use with lots of different children?
Absolutely! Our program provides information, education, strategies and modifications about how you can support young people to use yoga as a tool to build regulation and everyday skills. Depending on the young person (or group of young people) and their goals, you can tailor the way you support the child using our Facilitator Guide to modify the yoga activities and use the Yoga Cards to create loads of different play-based therapeutic yoga, mindfulness, and breathing activities for one child or whole groups of children.
Can you purchase our products using NDIS funding?
Our program is goal-driven, providing the education and strategies that help families and carers and
support people to implement effective strategies in the home or child’s natural
environment. Depending on your NDIS plan and NDIS Goals, you can use Capacity
building or Core budgets to purchase our therapeutic, occupational
therapy-based programs.
My child is on awaitlist for OT, will this program be beneficial for us?
Absolutely! The Ready for Yoga Program is designed to help children develop key skills from a brain-body connection approach, including co-regulation and self-regulation, motor skills, executive functioning, mindfulness, sensory processing, and social engagement— all of which are foundational to many occupational therapy goals. While you wait for OT services, this program provides you with valuable tools and insights as your child’s support person, empowering you both to learn, grow, and flourish together.
My child is currently already accessing OT, can we still use it?
Yes! The Ready for Yoga Program complements occupational therapy interventions. It offers additional routine and home-based strategies for your child to practice outside of their sessions, reinforcing skills they may be working on with their therapist, such as body awareness, emotional
regulation, and sensory processing. If you are currently working with an OT, we suggest you touch base with them so they can guide you on the chapters you
could focus on to support the child’s current therapy goals.
I don’t know the specific goals my child or the child I am supporting (as a support worker, carer, or educator) needs to work on, will the Ready for Yoga still be useful?
Definitely! The Ready for Yoga Program focuses on essential skills that can benefit all children. Whether or not you know the specific therapy or skill area goals for the child, this program can help facilitate fun, joy, and connection between you and the child you are supporting. In the Facilitator Guide, we have provided information on how to modify an activity depending on the child’s individual differences so you can adapt the activities or strategies based on the child’s engagement in the activity or game.
It’s a great starting point for supporting a child’s overall well-being.
Can I use the Ready for Yoga Program and Cards with a group of children?

Whether you're working with children in a classroom, a therapy group, or even a playgroup, the program can be easily adapted to suit multiple children. I am a therapist working with children and young adults, will this be a useful resource for me?

It offers structured activities designed to support connection, regulation, motor development, sensory processing, and mindfulness. The program is flexible and can be easily integrated into individual or group therapy sessions, providing an engaging way to reinforce skills while promoting overall well-being.
